Chemical Peel
41 is approaching.....about time I see what the rage is about getting a chemical peel. It was uneventful, no burning, everything was fine. That was until day 3 - then I started peeling. The esthetitian clearly had explored several methods of plastic surgery and educated me on the pros and cons of getting an eye lift which was an added bonus.
I had planned to go to Richmond for the weekend but ended up going to Fan Fest at Wake Forest with my family. I had my big hat and sunglasses to avoid the sun but the afternoon rays were strong. My brother thought I was trying to look "chic" but I explained that was not my goal. Perfect skin was my objective. The price of beauty. They suggested the Obagi skin care system and 5 more chemical peels for maximum results.....ah, the $$$ of beauty!

SNL Makes Me Laugh
There is nothing like a good laugh. A friend of mine reminded me today how Saturday Night Live has a way of making the most ordinary things funny....from Micheal Phelps diet of 12,000 calories to Justin Timberlake dancing in costume to Sarah Palin being interviewed. My memories of SNL go back to my college days with the Church Lady, the Sea Slut and Napkin Fish and Pat - was that male or female??!!!
If you can still stay up that late - it's worth the wait.

Turning 40 is a Milestone to Celebrate
Turning 40 is a milestone to celebrate. I've heard from so many individuals over the course of the year about the way they marked the year. For many it is a party or a trip but “the new” 40th birthday includes physical challenges, creating new memories and setting new goals to accomplish. It is a time of reflection. Some look in the mirror and say – yeah – I like what I’ve done and where I am. Others ponder, Wait a minute – I don’t want to live like this for the next ten years. Like Susan, who hired an image consultant and did a complete redo. Tina's husband surprised her with a weekend trip that included white water rafting and an overnight in a remote mansion. Clint said he never had a memory of eating dinner with both of his parents, his wish for his 40th birthday was to do just that.
Do you want control of the celebration or be surprised?
